      <image:title>About - Nicole Lohr, M.D., Ph.D., FACC</image:title>
<image:caption>Nicole L. Lohr, MD, PhD, FACC, is Professor of medicine and Division Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Heersink School of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also the director of the Comprehensive Cardiovascular Center and holds the Mary G. Walters Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine. Previously, she was the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Clinical Trials for the Medical College of Wisconsin and served as Chief of Cardiology at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Most recently, she served as Chair (2023-2024) of the American College of Cardiology Board of Governors (BOG) and secretary of the American College of Cardiology Board of Trustees. In this capacity, Dr. Lohr led governors from chapters representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico and representatives from the U.S. health services. She currently serves on the ACC Academic Cardiology Leadership Council and the ACC Annual Scientific Session Program Committee. She is a physician-scientist with numerous active clinical trial studies as primary investigator. Dr. Lohr enthusiastically leverages technology in her practice and embraces the opportunity and change that advances in telemedicine and remote patient monitoring bring to healthcare, especially cardiology. Dr. Lohr says that in a sense, telecardiology and remote patient monitoring let the doctor make house calls once again. “The doctor came to your house in the past, and it’s now cool to go back to that kind of thinking. It’s personal, but in a different way. It’s using technology to get back to keeping everything local, and I just find that appealing.”</image:caption>

<image:title>Practices - “I am very appreciative of Kindly Reminders®. I did not quite know what exactly was going to happen when I enrolled, but have been pleasantly surprised by how much it has helped me manage my hypertension. I am much more aware of my overall health and have gotten my weight down a bit while monitoring my blood pressure at home more frequently and using the B/P monitor that was a breeze to set up. The Staff who call are friendly and helpful with many encouraging words. Overall I am very hopeful and anxious to continue improving my health with their kind encouragement.”</image:title>
